In-Home ABA Therapy

In-home ABA therapy at EAS means your child will receive 1:1 therapy from a Behavior Technician under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in the comfort and privacy of your own home. This approach allows your child to build functional skills that can be tailored to their daily routines within their own natural environment.

ABA therapy that takes place in a natural setting such as a home or day care is typically preferred as it allows the team to work with your child where their behaviors and skill deficits are occurring. This typically results in your child better learning the skills and generalizing skills outside of therapy sessions as well.

Our programs work to build skills such in areas such as:

Benefits of In-Home Services

1.) A Familiar Learning Environment

A home-based therapy program allows your child to work on skills natural to their daily routines. This can include daily self-help skills like: eating, brushing their teeth, appropriate play, toilet training, and more. It will also allow your child’s therapist to observe your child in their natural setting, which will help them establish more accurate and personalized goals.

2.) Convenience

In-home therapy is extremely convenient for most families. Everything from our initial consultation, to daily therapy can take place in the privacy of your of your home. This will help your family maintain typical routines that are familiar for your child. Many families find that home-based therapy offers a convenience for minimizing the added challenges of planning meals, traffic, adjusting schedules and more.

3.) Family Involvement

EAS highly encourages parents to be actively involved in their child’s therapy program. This could include sitting in for a song, being present for activities, or simply having an open line of communication with your child’s therapist. It will also help your child’s therapist to observe interactions between you and your child, or your child and a sibling. This can allow our team to provide helpful feedback and even create new goals for your child’s therapy program.

For families who may not be able to stay involved, even with at home therapy, EAS offers a convenient app for all our parents to keep you up to date with daily activities and programs towards goals.
